The Clive Jaycees will be attending the Des Moines Bucs game on February 19th. It is Miller Lite Buck Beer Night. With a decent size group we will get a discounted group rate. Price is determined on how many people we have, but I believe the price will be $8 for adults $6 for children, instead of the regular rate of $11 $8. And of course $1 beers. General Membership Meeting - Monday, February 22nd at 7 pm - Dymond Safety Center Silent Auction/Jaycee Jailbreak - Friday, Feb. 26th at 6:00 PM- The Chicken Coop Come out for a night of fun and making money for the Clive Jaycees on Friday, February 26th at the Chicken Coop in West Des Moines starting at 6pm. It is located at 1960 Grand Ave. in the mini mall to the east of Hy-Vee. We will be in the private party room when you first enter the building. This will be a social! The jail is basically $5 minimum for 5 minutes and can be "incarcerated" for no more than 20 minutes (boils down to $1/minute). If put in jail, you or a friend can match the amount that put you in to get you out before your time is up. For the silent auction, we are looking at collecting no more than 25 items that would start at $5 minimum bid and can go up in $1 increments. Wacky Bowling - Saturday, Feb 27th - Gladbrook, IA It is that time of year again! The 6th annual Wacky Bowling event will take place at the usual location (Gladbrook bowling alley located at the corner of Main and Washington Streets in Gladbrook, IA). It is on Saturday, February 27th starting at 5:30 hosted by the Iowa Governors Association. To make it even wackier, we will have a costume contest, so please dress up! Possible duties include greeting and distributing bags, helping children with games, and being an exhibitor's assistant. Available shifts are: Friday from 5:30-9:00pm; Saturday from 8:30am-noon, 11:30am-3:00pm, and 2:30pm-6:00pm; and Sunday from 9:30am-1:00pm and 12:30-4:00pm.
